Religious Education
At St Joseph’s Catholic College, Religious Education is at the heart of our identity as a Catholic school. We provide a safe, caring, and supportive environment where each student is nurtured through her relationship with Jesus, grounded in the Catholic tradition. Inspired by St Mary of the Cross MacKillop, our students are encouraged to make a meaningful difference in the world and lead lives as disciples of Jesus.
Our dedicated Religious Education staff play a pivotal role in leading the Religious Education curriculum. They create meaningful space within the curriculum for students to learn about the Catholic faith and to embrace the opportunity to “Act Justly’ in their daily words and actions.
Year 7-10 Religious Education
Religious Education for Years 7 to 10 focuses on Evangelisation and Catechesis, aligning with the Diocese of Broken Bay’s Towards 2025 Framework. This curriculum is both academically rigorous and innovative, bringing faith and life into a dynamic and meaningful dialogue.
Years 11–12 Religious Education Courses
The college offers a range of Religious Education courses for the HSC:
- Studies of Religion I
- Studies of Religion II

These courses provide students with a deeper understanding of faith, offering them the chance to engage critically with religious thought and practice in the modern world.
